We have many parts within us.
Making space for your parts helps to you to understand their purpose, needs, worries, and fears. Together we can slow down, listen and find out how they came to be, why they feel anxiety, overwhelm or self-doubt.
“Parts work” invites you to recognize the multitude of parts within you. Some parts are trying to protect you from feeling painful or overwhelming emotions. Others are hurting and need tending and support.
Imagine offering curiosity and compassion to your parts, even the ones that feel overwhelming and stressful.

How parts show up
Parts have a way of letting us know their presence. Body sensations, anxiety, thoughts, emotions, images are only some of the ways they call our attention.
With curiosity we begin to befriend them.
Identify
What they take care of
By slowing down to listen to them, we learn about their wants and fears. We learn how they protect us.
Even the parts we struggle with, like anxiety, overwhelm, self-doubt, shame are in some way trying to take care of us.
Practice
Compassion and care
Practicing self compassion is not easy yet IFS can help us tap into the its medicinal power. Most parts are longing for it.
When we meet our parts with curious intention we can offer them care and relief. Consequently, we feel care and relief too.
